Rage Release
What it is:
Rage Release is a powerful body-based breathing practice for moments when you feel anger, frustration, or energy that’s too big to contain.
It helps you engage your body fully so that you can release the built-up tension and come back to a place of stillness.
Instructions:
This exercise can be practised sitting up or laying down, feeling the support beneath your body.
-
Take a slow breath in through your nose for a count of four, letting the air fill your belly.
-
As you hold that breath, clench your fists, tighten your jaw, shoulders, chest, stomach, back, and legs — every muscle you can.
-
Hold this tension for eight seconds, feeling the strength and intensity of your whole body engaged.
-
Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of eight, releasing all the tightness and stored energy as your body melts into softness.
-
Repeat this cycle three times. If you feel the need, complete a few more rounds until you sense the energy has shifted.
These practices are here to support you. Go gently, listen to your body, and return to them whenever you need.
